Meet Me

The first thing to know about me is that I am a husband, father, son, brother, & friend. I believe that future success depends on the recognition and growth from one’s past, and, to that end, I am grateful that my family and friends have helped shape who I am today.
My education, a BS in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, helped me to establish a foundation to begin my career in HR. With over 15 years of experience in various industries, I have continued to grow and hone my understanding of the profession. Throughout my career, I have been part of successful teams in the transportation, logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing industries as well as several partnerships with medical offices and professional businesses.
I believe in a strong community and in helping others whenever possible. I serve as a board member of the North Central Workforce Development Board, and am a supporter of local causes and various charitable organizations, such as the ALS Association of Western PA and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The relationships and experiences I have developed over the years have given me stability, strength, and a network of knowledgeable trusted sources. However, I am most proud to say that I am husband to a strong and supportive wife and the father of four rambunctious, adorable, unique, and wildly entertaining children. My family is deeply important to me and is one more driving force behind why I do what I do!
What Led Me Here

What do you want to be when you grow up? How many times do you ask yourself that question and struggle with an answer? I got lucky with my own answer. Several years after college I was riding in a taxi when the driver started making conversation with me as if he’d known me for years. As it turns out, he did! Admittedly I didn’t recognize him at first, but he recounted how I hired and trained him a few years prior. Then came something that I will never forget; he said “You saved my life, man.” I perked up immediately. He went on to tell me that, at the time I hired him his marriage had ended, his family broken, and he had no money and was living in his car. He told me he’d tried and failed to find employment with several companies before I hired him and gave him the tools to succeed. He said it again, “You saved my life.” At that point “what I wanted to be when I grow up” became clear. The purpose of TAG is to help those who need HR support and to educate them so they can make the best choices moving forward.
Why call my business The Adamson Group since I am just one person? Logical question. I’m not unlike many business owners in regard that I started a business with a dream, a plan, and a purpose. My vision for TAG is to provide small businesses with exceptional service and education so that your business and mine continue to grow exponentially. It is my goal to help every client grow their business as well as gain an education of the HR and leadership function so they can continue to lead their organization into the future.
Outsourcing HR
The reality for most small businesses is that there simply isn’t room in the budget to hire a professional to manage HR. Unfortunately, those responsibilities often fall to the owner. Business owners have plenty of work as it is; sales, finance, marketing, customer service, operations, and a host of other time- consuming tasks. TAG can offer an affordable solution to put your mind at ease. Outsourcing HR with TAG can provide innumerable benefits but none more important than allowing owners and leaders to focus on growing and strengthening their business.
Whether you have five employees or fifty, engagement is critical to employee success, and, in turn, to your business’s success. Sometimes simple things like an employee handbook, engagement survey, or even having an HR virtual presence can create a level of confidence that drives your employees to succeed. TAG can work with you to help create a more cohesive and driven team.
Compliance can be a major issue for many businesses. Unfortunately, it is ever-changing as well. Keeping up to ensure your company isn’t at risk can be demanding. By hiring professional HR support, businesses are better equipped to remain compliant.
Some stats to consider:
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) advances opportunity in the workplace by enforcing federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination. Not all Federal EEOC laws apply to all employers, it is based on the number of employees. However enforcement can begin with as little as one (1) employee. Over the last five (5) years the EEOC has secured an overage of $496 million from employers each year. Not including an additional $51.6 million solely for sexual harassment.*
